Saving it for Ron

Messy times Chez Roberts.
Mac manages to land a carrot on his head during his tuna pasta bake eating frenzy.
Must be saving it for "later on" - the carrot stays put for the duration of his meal.

Nana will be pleased this ain't her floor.  Starting to give up a bit on the grout.

Dad brings a box home from work for Sav, complete with snow.  She can still play for hours on end with such toys - long may it continue!

Santa Warms the Stirling Crowd up Early

Santa paraded through Stirling today. Something about spreading joy and cheer...and getting the shopping season kickstarted.

We meet up with Harvey and Guy for primetime reindeer watching, then it's a scoot to the cafe before more winter fun on the ice rink.

Could have used this pic for my work's annual report if the boy could keep a clean face!

TEAM Shoot

We are launching a new performance brand "TEAM" with my work. Sav, Mac and I spent the day "on set" with the crew and the athletes shooting film for a a video. Very exciting. Meanwhile, we managed to fit in a wee swim, and Sav got some quality time with Scotland's superstars, including Robbie (below).

The Incher, the Drizzler, and the Poo Eater

Wee Mac is doing very very well slithering about the house and getting stuck into every corner, every basket, and every dusty, dangerous nook he can find.  He can inch up and over little mountains of toys and clothes, and then he drizzles down the other side.  Soon (we hope) he will build the muscles to lift his tummy off the floor.

Meanwhile, I came home from work yesterday and Sav shouted excitedly: "Mac ate a malteser! Mac ate a malteser!". But it was obviously a wee joke between she and Mega. Turns out, Dob gave Mac some naked time, he did his business on the floor and... you see where this is headed.   Maybe Mac won't get much stronger on a diet of poo.

Berm Baby Berm

Hard core riders from L to R: Guy (2), Harvey (3), Savage (4), MegaDob (18)

No shame in a little push.

Warming up on the jumps for the new smooooooth blue track: Berm Baby Berm
Dob warms up too.
A few firsts on this trip:
- Savage tries Berm Baby Berm and loves it.  She does it a few times three days in a row (above).
- Savvy rides from the Buzzard car park down to the cafe on her own bike (hard core).
- We skip Mac's 10pm feed and he sleeps through until 5.30am.  We're aiming for at least 6am for tomorrow.  We'll see.

Thanks to Tim for great pics and to the rest of the BofA bike crew for toddler trail support.
And to Ali and Elaine for a great weekend.

Bread on a Stick

Ok, so there are no actual pictures of us all around the campfire roasting special bread dough wrapped around a stick.  But here are some pics of Dob and Mac sawing wood for the fire that we made to do said roasting. Dob orchestrated the Bread-on-Stick event, remembering that Nonno did this a lot with him when he was growing up. I have to say, it was the yummiest bread I have ever had.

Heading Home from Glentress

Last snack at the cafe before we hit the road.

Heading to Mr Strawberry to pack up. Precious cargo.

This one is for Caldero - one of the cutest number 7 shots ever!

Tired crew.

Not just the kids.

Back home safe.

Mac's First Ride

He's a wee bit wee, is our Mac, but we thought we'd give it a bash on the smooth trails. He slumped a bit in the old i-bert, but was pretty happy throughout.

Mega Dob and his Mini Me.
A smashing hat for Mac from Jack and Thomas.

Wigwam Holiday in Peebles

Four days to make the most of the decent weather - off we went wigwamming (glamping) in Glentress, Peebles.

So warm and cozy - a bit worried we'll ditch the tent all together...

Savvy treated us to a couple of ballet shows before bed. Impressed she packed a dance outfit amongst her biking gear.

Wee Mac tracked down this soother tied to his carrying back pack (aka, the shuttle). He was pretty pleased with himself.

Mom and Mac in action with the shoe box/lid game.

Night night Mac. Into your drawer for sleep time. Don't tell social services...

Savvy loved the fairy like size of the wigwam. But it was outdone by Harvey and Guy's campervan. You could not tear her away from their awesome play pen.

Baby Roberts V2.0 Evolves - V2.1

Wee Mac loves his soother.  If he wakes in the night (rare - thanks Mac), we just have to grope about in the dark to try and find the slimy soother and pop it back in his mouth.  All is fine.

Enter Baby Roberts V2.1

Mom hears Mac cry.  Mom enters room.  Mac has no soother in his mouth.
Mac sees mom.  Mom is searching for soother, but Mac has soother in his hand.
Mac, happy that Mom has heard his scream, places soother back in mouth.

Mom frowns.

A Mhari and Savvy Day

The day was all about Mhari and Savvy. Mac was along for the ride. He didn't say much...unless you go with the whole - a smile says a thousand words concept.
A moment of calm on the swings after some serious underduck pushing by Mom.
Water park - brrrr frozen ice on the ground. With the misty day, before the sun burned through, Stirling castle was no where to be found (it should be in the backdrop).

The girls took over city centre on our walk back to the station. They opened an ice cream shop at this circle. Not too many sales. Turns out there aren't too many neds keen on pretend avocado poo poo ice cream. Mac had some though.

Mucking about with a game of I spy at the train station.
