Movie Night

Look at these two cuties, settling in for some Moana.
You're welcome.

Cadboro Bay e-Bike/Paddle Adventure

It might have been the 28th of September, but the sun was HOT and we had a great evening to muscle our way over to Caddy Bay for Thai food. Glen and Sav on the paddle board, Mac, Nana and I on bikes. This was Nana's first e-bike adventure and she gave the experience a thumbs up.

The Thai was spectacular. As always.

PS-- It's official. Nana will soon be an islander!

Cousin Scout

Team V has expanded!
Introducing Cousin Scout, the cutest kitty this side of... the galaxy.
In case the pictures don't make it obvious, Scout has these two clowns wrapped around her itty-bitty-sweet-wee paw.
Now and again, Team Roberts will have the honour of taking care of Scout-le-Roo. We did so earlier this week. The kids were in cat heaven. So was MegaDob.

Double Trouble

Love these goofballs

Hope Street Ball 2017

The Hope Street Ball 2017 got off to a great start chez Team V.
So many of our favourite treats, British choc and even Iron Bru.
Antihistamines available for those allergic to cats. Anyone?
Straight to the Empress for our first, errr, I mean second or third, beverage. Lovely.

We made new friends at the bar. And we ate lots and lots of popcorn.

Partner swap based on outfits. These two looked like gorgeous newlyweds. As Glen's behaviour became more and more ridiculous through the evening, I was happy for the exchange! There's a chance Koji felt the same, oui Koji!?
Then, onward. And onward again. So much fun to be out with family/friends on a lovely night.

Straws are bad, Lynnie. Even if you wash them.
Time to taxi home, so that we can... workout!?!
 And swim.
And climb over hot tub ledges (photo screening has begun at this time). Thank you Kevin for being the barmaster and the snackmaster!

 Time to relax. And cuddle.

Ridiculous video found here:

Nana' Birthday on the Rock

A day of yummy food, slightly overcooked chocolate brownies, and fun gifts, including a special reused collection from Mac, as the wee generous lad likes to rummage through his room for trinkets to wrap and contribute to the exciting present table.

Re lemons and a juicer for lemon loaf. (I told Nana about your proposal, Shark-- one signed copy of your beautiful book when Harper Collins launches it in 2018 in exchange for a lemon loaf. She says she'll make sure it's still warm out of the oven!)

Grade 5. Grade 1. Our one and only year when they'll be at the same school.

Savannah heading to Kindie back in Scotland

Mack heading to Kindie in Victoria

Before the cut. And after.
And here the beasts are now! Grade 5 and Grade 1 at Willows.

Lemongrass Thai in Caddy Bay

The best Thai ever lives in the bay next door. Sometimes we walk, sometimes we bike. Last week, we paddled.

The moon was out with us. As were the seals.

Just a few "OK" homes to spy on along the water, with their private beaches.

Thetis Lake with Lynnie

It's a wee local walk. Just right for a loop and a swim.

Ride-Grind-Ride-Dine-Bard-on-the-Beach

Epic!

A very fun day out with the gals.
Thanks Uncle C/Nana for minding the beasts all day!

MegaDob's Birthday

He's assured us that birthday month is only just getting started...
 Fish finger classic. #hischoice
Don't be fooled by the similar red T. This is a SEPARATE night, hosted by the amazing team Z!
Chewbaca Tiki Cup with the most amazing birthday potion inside. A four-dip veggie meal et un gateau au chocolat. Oh my.

Lake Cowichan-- Honeymoon Bay, Marble Park, and Gordon Bay

Lovely hiking at Marble Park.

And a dreamy provincial campsite at Gordon Bay. HUGE tall trees, and generous lots. Plus, we were right beside the pump track and the playpark. Heavenly beach.

Chillier in the trees in the wee early pancake hours.

Mac and I out again in the early mornings for lakeside play.

A cool log boom for balancing and diving.

Glen got stung by something nasty (red, swollen underarm)

We got in some walks and biking at the Honeymoon Bay Reserve. Just beautiful. Sav here with a natural dreamcatcher.

No fly needed. Lovely view to wake up to!
