Martinique-- Presqu'ile de la Caravelle

Over on the east coast of Martinique, there is an "almost island" with a beautiful park for hiking and biking. It was hard to pack enough water for these hot marches, but the kids just kept begging for more and more. "Extra walks, please, and longer ones too!" they shouted.

 

  

There were giant, rather creepy lobster/hermits that crawled out of big holes along the path. They were there a plenty, and goodness knows what was lurking in the mangroves, not just an alleychat!

 

We stopped for a lovely swim on the way home. And an ice cream too.
