Photo day and Peer Pressure

Sav wanted to wear her Sapa, Vietnam out fit for photo day. She was not bothered at all that it was different.

 Mac, after a year of trying to grow his hair long enough to be able to wipe his bum with it, surrendered at last to peer pressure. His friend at Kindergarten thinks he looks like a girl, and Mac came home and said he wanted a hair cut before photo day. Should we be sad that Mac felt he had to cave; that gender stereotypes interfered with his bum wiping ambition?
