We have used my time off and Glen's flexibility working at home on Mac Ride to spend as much time as possible with the kids this term. This included a rather intense session of swimming down at the Vancouver Aquarium...twice a week (at different times for each kid, of course). Sav is now in level 7 (maybe time for swim club?) and Mac is now a crocodile.
When Mac's not in the water, he's actually a "Creepy Sco-ish Pirate Barking Dog" (Scottish accent included). I Mac Rode him to the pool, then to Nana's, each afternoon. He chose to cover his face with his buff and bark in a pirate voice to one and all on the sea wall.
We scared people. We confused people. We made people laugh. It was kind of creepy, but also kind of cool.
