Hike up Dumyat at midnight and listen to the fireworks and Proclaimers singing their classic "I would walk 500 miles" at the Stirling Castle New Year's party. I say listen, as there was a cloud hanging over Dumyat, so visibility was down to 6ft in some places. No chance of seeing the fireworks as we had hoped. A wee dram on top and back down for an "early" night.
There is a slightly freeked out baby in that back pack. We reckon she thought we were running away from the Natzis, what with all the getting up in the middle of the night and hiking up a mountain with explosions going off all around. She did recover and slept (and snored) the whole way down.
