Truth & Reconciliation
215 orange hearts at the Willows fences is of course only a gesture, but still so grateful to the teachers who are trying to help our children understand our past, and bring truth to what really happened at residential schools. It's led to some of the most difficult and important conversations we have ever had at home with our kids. The stories and poetry that have been triggered by the discovery of the first of no doubt many unmarked, mass grave are well outside my range, but I am forcing myself to listen.
