Savvy and her pals are in a new toddler biker gang, T4. They were ripping it up in the Uni halls the other day, followed by some time at the jump park. Watch out!

St Andrews Day
We took advantage of the St Andrews Weekend free access at the Wallace Monument on our first snowy day of the winter. A big climb up and a great sledge ride down.
Thanks to MegaDob's anti-masses strategy (entails leaving reeeeaaallly early), we were first in the car park, first in the monument and first to the top. A beautiful day.
Savvy hides so she can help Wallace with one of his secret ambushes.

Kings and Queens - Naughty and Nice
Savvy: Where were you last night?
Mommy: At a work reception.
S: Where?
M: At Stirling Castle.
[Savvy very frightened and upset – too many story books about nasty royal family members]
S: Were the King and Queen there?
M: No, there are no more Kings and Queens there.
S: Why?
M: There use to be more Kings and Queens and they were leaders of the land. They built big strong castles up high so no one could take away their leadership. But the system was unfair because the leaders were chosen by which family they were born into. So the people decided on a new system – Government. In government, we can choose our leader based on skill.
S: How do we choose our leader?
M: We vote. The person with the most votes gets to be our leader.
S: Who gets to vote?
M: Mommies and Daddies, Aunties, Nonno and other adults.
[Without missing a beat]
S: Why not children?
M: Some people think children are too young to know how to choose a good leader.
S: The leader should be nice, not naughty. The leader should have good listening ears and not tell tales.
...hmmm, maybe children should have a vote!?

Are We Mad?
Yes!
Carpet from India - silk, stains and damages easily.
New coffee table - glass, wobbly, and always dirty.
Perfect items for a 3 year old and a new baby.
But the living room looks pretty.
