Still a little too old for Savvy, but just right for MegaDob!

200 Trees

In spring 2007, only 2+ year ago, wee Ella was pictured in the front yard as we were planting some 200 trees, nothing but wee sticks at the time. The trees are coming along nicely, no!?

An aside, Mhari and Sav yesterday - MegaDad did the solo double sleepover babysit. My hero!

One Stone at a Time

At long last renovations to Stanley House are underway. At a billion £s a block and with a lot of skill required, it could take a while for Martin the stone mason to replace each stone. But the work is much needed - over a 100 years of rain and wind, some dodgy "cement cover" short cuts and a whole bunch of neglect means the old school is crumbling.

Ode to Stephen (and Moyee too)

A morning of digging and stick throwing with MegaDob, Stephen (aka MegaSmith) and "Moyee" in Mine Woods. Stephen and Moira are some of Savvy's favourite friends. Sav passed the baby pram to Stephen; he passed it back...it was love at first sight.

Zucchini and the Farm

This picture highlights the successful zucchini from the garden. We picked a big one (a really REALLY big one) for dinner and a little one for sav.

This picture highlights sav's insistance that little 'cchini participate in the rest of the day's activity. I wish I could say it was one of the weirder things she's insisted upon.

Briarlands farm. We're definitely buying a season's pass.

Aviemore

Camping bliss in Aviemore. Harvey and Sav had good times on their four wheelers and two wheelers. Bike rides and walks and stone throwing. Leslie dog warms by the fire. A stop in Lagaan on the way home. Very nice trails. Very nice September sun.

Canada 2009: Introduction

Nana welcomed Team Japan and Team Scotland into her downtown flat. Lynn joined for swimming, dinners and other family fun. Everyone cooked. Nana babysat (merci!). And we all had loads of fun.
