Hope Street Ball 2020

Another year, another Ball. Here we are, descending into silliness...

He can't keep still. Tigger.

Special bday surgery-recovery cupcakes by team Z.

Mount Tzouhalem

New trails in Duncan before some marble shopping.

Smoke was horrendous, and loading the car at 6 was a bit tough, but good to be out in the trees.

Grade 8 (Beast 1) and Grade 4 (Beast 2)

The new school year is upon us. Unlike any other in terms of balancing education with safety amidst the world pandemic, but so far so good.

The fit between our kiddos and teachers seems to be amazing. Fingers crossed!

Glen Turns 45

 Birthday Blueberry Crisp by Nana

We also had a nice night out with Team Z and Team V, and Glen treated himself to an RC car and a watch, so it was a nice 45. But, truthfully, Birthday month for MegaDob always ends up being a bit squished. With us being very busy at work, the summer family shenanigans and then Nana squishing things on the other side with her bday, Glen would be quite right to be jealous of my February birth date... Not a lot going on in February so many chances to stretch out the fun (and the gifts!)

A looooooooong time ago (gold medal post)

A loooooooooooong time ago, some very special women got together, trained like mad for 8 years, and then won a gold medal in ultimate frisbee at the world championships in Germany. Three of us shot off to Italy after our win, going from silly moment to silly moment, gelato to gelato.

Well, the three of us relived our glory at Shawnigan this summer, 20 years after our gold medal victory! Hiking, paddling, and swimming, with some gold medal silliness along the way!

Smokey Days

Terrible forest fires in the coastal states of the US led to days and days of heavy smoke up in BC and dreadful air quality.

Apparently, each day it was like smoking 40 cigarettes. We tried to upgrade air filters and masks, and chill out at home, but we did keep going with work and school, and a bit of camping too.

Shawnigan Shenanigans

We love it at the lake! Many hikes and swims merged into one post!

Sleepy time

This girl is up for a jump in the lake any time - she starts at the top of the hill and runs down, giggling, de-layering as she goes, never pausing. Straight it. Meanwhile, I am crouched on the ladder, inching my way in. We had some corker family swims this Summer - often at night as the sun was setting.
The best memories.
