Montreal

We headed out on our Spring Break adventure, ready to escape it all. Helmets, Mac Ride, fins, puffy coats for Montreal and swimsuits for Martiniique.
Montreal was beautiful and great fun, even in the snow and cold.
Gooooooooooooo Team Mac Ride!
 A lot of yummy food.
We stayed in a lovely air bnb in the Vieux Montreal, board games included.
We visited the science centre, the fine arts museum, churches, and of course, Mount Royal.
 Namaste.

Palais de justice pic for Nana.
Nana was a trooper, hiking in minus 11 (and that's before the wind chill)
St Laurent River in the background.
 A wee moment to rechauffe.

Mac insisted I capture this piece from the Museum of Fine Arts...

So. Many. Naked. Women...

 Broken glass... who dunnit?!

Shawnigan Lake Loveliness

We had a mini get away over my birthday weekend. In true Winter Olympic Spirit, it was very outdoorsy and active. We hiked, biked, and paddled, usually all in one day. Dobson made delicious meals and I ate heaps of daily WTF chocolate. We powered through some great Mac Ride stuff too.

Sav had a hard time with some of the adventures so it was nice the sun came out to keep things cheery.

Ash Howard classic "Here's some railway Sir John A Macdonald history woot woot."
We hike, the cycled to the base of Baldy Mountain. Then we hiked Baldy Mountain and did the whole thing in revers. It was hard core. And super beautiful.
