Shark and Ty-- Jan 2017

Savvy was at a gymnastics party, so the boys went out on an adventure at Willows Beach.

A belated HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the funny, smart, beautiful, wonderful Requin.

The 2017 Women's March in Victoria

The march was great and very much needed after all the horrible, destructive and narrow minded shenanigans in the US. It was a chance to read some very touching (and witty) signs, soak up the pink, and rally together for hope. We also cheered on the sister marches across the world full of people not prepared to accept more BS "alternative facts".
Who better to march with than another pro-equality, feminist family-- these two lovelies of the Ty-Shark Clan.

Wee Fish in Nana's Pool

Mac wanted me to share this picture to show you his commitment to the pool with obvious goggle-intensity

We had a great time chez Nana. A viz to the ortho (Mac Ride colour elastics:)
Some yummy food, chill out time, and a good dose of puzzling
We came home to this birthday loot. Thank you Klynnie!

Baker. It looks photoshoped. But it ain't.

The lad turns SIX

Birthday fun was had. First with nana and family. Then with mates from school.

Mac, at six, you are a lovely, funny, kind boy.
You are getting stronger everyday, and so is your passion for lego and FIGHTING!
The dab. It continues. Even with Fin.

Bear Grylls. Only better.

Yes. This guy is my Bear Grylls. Only better.

Juan de Fuca Winter Camping

Fun (but cold) as we camped at French Beach and hiked around China and Mystic Beach. Thank you to Park Ranger Ed who helped with extra firewood. We have captured the beautiful sunset here. But failed to snap away on another epic day of rain, hail and snow.

Swedish candle Christmas present in action. It served us well.
Burger and bun twisted on a stick over the fire. Seriously delicious.
Well, it snowed. And we were....warm and toasty. That's right. Warm and toasty.
All thanks to the beach stones that were placed in the fire during dinner and wine (wine served about 25 degrees cooler than it should be...in a steal cup...), then brought lovingly into our sleeping bags at bedtime (as late as 8pm on New Year's eve!), rolled about in critical locations and -finally- clung to for dear life. Game changers.
Thanks to Nana for watching beast 1 and beast 2. First time away from the kids together for more than a single night, and we were really craving some peace and nature.
