Victoria or bust

This is the seal that convinced us to move to Oak Bay in September. He flashed a grin, wiggled his whiskers and said: the island is awesome, camon Team Roberts, live in a quiet village by the beach and chill out a bit!
Ok, so it might have been these crafty monkeys too. Planning a perfect weekend with sunsets, ice cream, biking, steak, and brownies. Well played, Team Z, well played.

More in a bit when we catch our breath from all the drama (and the to do lists) and when I get my camera uploading properly again!

Stunning Camping Weekend at Lake Cheakamus

Team H made the inspired suggestion of a hike in/hike out camping trip to Lake Cheakamus. It was perfect.
Kids all did a great job of hiking in. And the landing spot was more than worth it (campsite view below)

The hike out was a great show of determination from young Mac, who could not stand to part with a log he'd found that -to him- looked like a special gun. "Send it down the river for a proper goodbye", we kept suggesting. "Take a picture of it and leave it behind", we mixed in. I even got huffy, with no support from Glen, "This is silly, it's not good for his wee shoulders; it's too much."
Nope. The lad kept going and made it back to the lot with a well smug look on his face!
Special thanks to Team H and to chef Joe!

Mother's Day Tea

Mac's last year at nursery. Gasp.

Mac was one of the older kids in charge of pouring the tea.
I seem a bit overexcited. But the tea really was great!
He's growing up so fast. Although, his main reason for growing his hair is so that he can wipe his bum with it (true story). So maybe we still have a bit of silliness ahead.

A few birthday balloons for Auntie Lynnie

21 in fact:)
