K-Town with Shark and Ty

It may as well have been mid summer. Sun, riding, lake swimming, patio dinners and.... Ty-Man and his cocktails. Truly inspired creations, but jeez, pass me the

Needles for my hip flexer ...oh no...wait, I meant THE ASPIRIN! Pass me the aspirin. Not the needles.

(Ty man, you see, is a physio guru and an IMS specialist and although I am reluctant to admit it in case he offers more jabs, the loveliness of the weekend finished with painful needles in my hip and I believe they have really helped an old bike injury).

And in an effort to keep up with Nonno and his new gadgets, most recently a bread maker, I reveal our newest prize-- the BakerStone.

Launched via Kickstarter and now in London Drugs, this is how we plan to lure Lynnie and Kevin home from Italy. Homemade pizza!

Shark and Ty -- thanks for the tip!
Thanks to Nana and MegaDob for the kid free weekend too. It was pure bliss (minus the needles and hangover!)!

UBC Homecoming

Yes, that is the new UBC President (centre) and the Chair of the Alumni Board (right) with face paint, in royal blue, at the Homecoming game. What a day!

ALS and Ice Buckets

A note for history: In the summer of 2014, a really neat thing happened. Humans on earth started dumping buckets of ice water on themselves and donating to charity. It started with "do one or the other", but soon, people realised it was pretty fun to dump ice water on those you love, your boss, or ... in my case, your school mascot, all in the name of fundraising for things you are passionate about.
What a neat way to have people talking, thinking and donating for charity!
Here's our selection of ALS goodies.

Anja and Diane stepped up. And so did Thunder. Thanks guys!

Mac looking quite pleased to be preparing Sav's challenge!

Chi has also done the challenge (go Chi!), Glen is preparing for his (well chosen, Sav) and we're waiting to hear back from Nonno on his!
