Girl Ride. SFU. Lovely.

I convinced Glen to return to the scene of the ride the next day. A black diamond 2 hour loop on "Nicole's"-- which is quite technical, especially pre season.
Dob went for it early in the morning. He was back so soon, I thought he'd got lost or had a flat. Nope. He was just that quick (45 min!).  I asked if he'd go back-- weren't the skinnies fun and the built up pieces a good run?
"Nope".
Sorry SFU. MegaDob's too cool for you.
Buttercup, we got catching up to do!

2 Words: Nana. Jujubes

At the shops, Sav asked for dried mango. Without waiting for an answer, she scooted off, as she so often does.

She came back from the bulk food section with a bag of dried mango, neatly twist tied, with the code written on the twist for check out. I showed my look of surprise. Sav said, in her smart, cute and concise way:

"Two words. Nana. Jujubes."

I think Sav's been to the supermarket with Nana on the odd occasion and I think it's safe to assume Sav got a lesson in sugary treat procurement!

The Deck

Savvy is showing off her new suit from the lovely Zoe and Eva. We're also featuring the "before" pic of the deck. A dark grey paint that was chipping and holding dirt like Mac's face.
We thought: shall we give it a fresh lick of paint?
Then we watched a video of a man who in less than 60 seconds covered his deck with a magical stripper. After a 20 min wait, he then spent another 60 seconds effortlessly power washing said deck and presto- the deck was a glorious bare wood. We thought, let's pass on the paint and go back to wood.

Well, a couple hundred dollars and 2 days of labour later, with absolutely no progress on the deck...we realised we were suckers.

Thankfully, no challenge is too big for megadob.
He persisted with the project and two hires of a sander, a sunburned back, sore knees and a small extra fortune later, we have the below!
The deck is still to be stained. After four days of sun, we are now set for four days of rain.
But when it's finally ready, we'll be the first ones out there lying in the sun.

ps - I think Glen needs to be cut off from his power washer. He can't put it down as he hunts for things to wash.

Mac Ride Season is Back!

Much fun in Whistler with the MBA nerd crew. Much fun.
