The market was heaving but we were spoiled. Lynnea sorted us at the deli and Ken at the butchers. Delicious meal followed!

 An early start meant we had time for it all on the Sunshine Coast. A forest walk, amazing brunch, the aforementioned nap, gingerbread cooking making, chilling by the tree with Joe and an early birthday party for the Sha Sha.

You heard me: Napping. That is, sleeping. During the day.

Savannah the Sweet Poet

We talk on and off about adopting a third child. Knowing how difficult it is to adopt, and that we haven't decided for certain, we do so very lightly in front of the kids. But Sav has zero-ed in on the idea and has already chosen sleeping arrangements, the meal plan, and techniques for trying to convince us to adopt twins.

Worried that she was going to be extremely disappointed, we wanted to make sure she understood the barriers in our path and the discussion still to be had and I raised these with her on a ride in to school.  Sav said:

"Perhaps you'll give me a maybe. Perhaps you'll give me a no. But let me be. I'm in love with the dream."

Guess the Show

We let Sav watch this show for the first time not long ago. She was thrilled:

"There was a scary, scary monster. The group worked as a team to trap the monster. And in the end, they caught him, and it turned out to be a naughty man wearing a costume.

And the guy in green eats a lot".

All the signs of a successful weekend

 Falling asleep on the bench in the cabin after a day at ski camp. Yes, he's actually sleeping.

 Falling asleep on the journey back from the Lake.

 But only after a wee pee break. Mac's getting the hang of the standing pee...he's about 50% there (the household laundry fairy is really pushing to crack 75% soon).
