Girls Night Out

Lovely night out - and we hooked up with MegaDob and the biking crew at the brewery for a night cap.  Tipsy.

Boxing Day

 The boy was in farm heaven Chez Nonno.

 And then it was a boxing day hike up the way...

...before we were down the hill to greet Santa (via Great Grandma's of course)...  (Don't these three look like they are a family? Feel like a stranger when I am around them - Sav blends in!)

Mac walks the wall back to the car before we head up North in Mr Strawberry.

The goodbyes were....well, they were tough.  Was so great to see Chris, Liz and the boys.  And to watch Savvy and Mac settle in so perfectly with their cousins who are such a lovely, kind bunch.  Luckily, we get to see Rick and kids next weekend, and Nonno's heading our way before we set off to help with the last voyage to the airport.  So we can save some of the drama for later!

Bittersweet.

November Christmas in Kendal

 There was mucking about.

 Mac kept trying to coax Great Grandma up the stairs to play with Shaun's lego.

 Yes, there was a show...

Glen wasn't so keen to share his melon starter.

 Dinner was delicious.

It was a good team effort by all.  But mostly by Auntie Andrea...who also housed Savvy Fri and Sat night while Glen, Mac and I enjoyed a civilised time at the Farm.

One Last Ratho

Good to reconnect with Jon, Lizzie, Carol and David.
Sav did her first belay with Elaine.  Mac took a huff - too wee for a harness so plunked himself on the stairs in between sessions of mischief.

Commonwealth Games Dinner - Two Year Countdown!

The other highlight that evening - the 2014 mascot, Clyde, a giant thistle, dancing Gangnam style with a group of streetdancers.  So silly and fun.

Mission accomplished by MegaDob today.  Mac-Ride design is complete.  He's been off the grid so we welcome him back.   Congrats Mega!

Guy Fawkes - 2012

Guy Fawkes day started with sunshine, G&J for coffee, a trip to memorial park, and a finish at the bridge of allan bonfire.  A bit grim to be celebrating Mr Fawkes burning on a pile of wood but alas, this family loves fire ... and the bigger the better.  The fireworks were pretty awesome too.

Inaugural Bridge of Allan Triathlon - 4 November 2012

Swim First. 1km at the National Swimming Academy.  Rocking it in our GB team kit!  (Unsurprisingly, Adidas have seen this and they are now keen to sponsor us)

 Then on to the bikes. 16km ... 8km of which is a massive climb.  Here we are on the descent, heading to the gate to start the Dumyat climb.

 Dumyat Summit.  Not going to lie. That was a tough climb. 5.2km round trip back to our bikes.

Pleased to have had a long bath with Mac on arrival at home...and some food.  Celebration tonight.
