Eat Your Heart Out NHS Professionals

And the doc was worried about Mac's ability to lift his head. Camon!!!

Sha Sha and Buttercup

Twas great to show off the boy with Sha Sha and Buttercup. Will need to steal pics from Cday as she took some Mac/ShaSha solos, but for now, here is Christine with Mac - the young lad soon to be dressed in all of Jasper and Griffin's hand-me-downs (thank you so much Team Nielsen).

Aunt Lynnie and Mackinley

Lynnie did some baby sitting yesterday. She and Mac fell out large. But they're back on track now, as you can see.

Spirited Away

The night started strong and early with some of Ty's "Okanagan Spirits - Raspberry Liqueur" chez Nana and went onwards from there. A very fun night in Yaletown with the gang, although we missed MegaDob something fierce.

At Mom's

Rooftop Keg - a lovely spot my brother told us about.

Nana and Mac - Morning Cuddles

Spring

The seawall walk started a bit chilly but soon, coats were off, hoodies tied around waists and shades on. Spring is here!

Mac's First Trip to Canada

On a sneaky wee bonus mat leave trip, Mac hits it off with his other home and native land. More to come on the Vancouver Club Med trip...

Two Camps - Which one are you in!?

In the world according to Savvy, everyone and everything falls into one of two camps:

1. One where you smell of flowers, fairy dust and rainbows.

or

2. One where you smell of fish fingers.

Dad is in the latter. Mac seems to have kept his spot in group numero uno, along with Mom...but for how long...

Saturday Pics

Good news is that Team Japan are safe and sound despite the scary, terrible quake.
Otherwise, life as usual in the Bridge on this chilled out Saturday.
(Footage of "the fall" is better than the pic. In terms of athletic ability, Dob still has the "Mega" in his name - he pulled a killer stunt to avoid landing on wee Sav! :)

Nine and a Half Weeks

This little monkey is doing well.

He has been swimming twice and loved it.
He slept from 7pm until 4 am last night. A real treat (better than up every 2 hours which he's also done recently).
He makes this crazy Predator-teradactyl noise which can be cute when huddled around for a coo-ing session. But is pretty intense/creepy waking you in the middle of the night from a dark corner in your room.
He can lure you into the bestest of giggling matches when you least expect it.

Basically, life on a Tues, Wed, and Thurs is pretty simple. Savvy is at nursery so there are no probing questions about evolution, disease management, or -the latest- war.

Yes, Savvy has taken to making inquiries at Memorial Park (across the road) over a monument that lists the names of local fallen soldiers. It's a bit tricky. After a brief as-child-friendly-as-possible history of WWI and II, she can't understand the naughty people needing to go to jail and why good people would "go up in the sky" while trying to put them there. She wants to know who the naughty people are, where they live, and what they look like. "This is what is complicated, Savvy", I tell her, "most people all over the world are good and are trying to behave even better. But there are a small few who are very very very naughty. And they are scattered everywhere and they look just like you and me".

"They do NOT look like me", she shouts, "I am NOT a Natzi!".

Not so simple...

Extras

Mac and Sav.

"New" train set from Good Green Fun. Traded in the doll's wardrobe full of hangers and mini outfits - result.
Sav at the BofA Toddler Disco. Was more like a rave. Seriously intense. Savvy won a prize for her moves.
Swing ball. She hits at least one in 20.

A week of sun

We've had great weather over the last week - sunshine, bbqs, pic-nics and fun play in the front garden.
Today was a cold one but dry and each Dob and I actually managed a ride - second day in a row!
Do not be fooled by this cute smile.
Sun peaking through the pram.
Alien life form inspected while at soft play.
