World Cup Champ 2009
DobboMeg surprises all with a number one finish in the bike club's 2009 world cup. With only two races to go, our guy was sitting 3rd with little hope of gathering the points needed to climb to the top. But with a victory in race 4:55, followed by a smash hit in the Winter Dumyat just last week, Dob found himself leading the pack at the close of the year. Champagne for everyone.
The real question is: who will win the battle of the blog. Mega insists I stop writing about his riding given the local nature of the races and the small field of competition. On the flip side, I figure life is too short not to celebrate whenever possible!

Nativity Play Take 1
Sav was an angel at her first nativity play (in dress only). Just a wee bit shy in quality of the shows produced by directrice L. Howard. But A++ for cuteness. Vid to follow. Costume by DobboMeg.

Number 1 in Race 455
The dark, rain, and snow couldn't stop the bike club from hosting its third "455" race last week. And who came down through Mine Woods first? MegaDob (or "DobboMeg", as Sav likes to call him... and as Dob likes to encourage).
4 minutes and 55 seconds - the time of the inaugural race winner - was clocked during a nice dry summer evening. The time wasn't to be beaten on a winter's night, but Dob still managed to lead amongst his worthy and hardy competitors.
